What They Wanted
What the client originally asked for (surface-level goals)
"Can you take this Life Cycle Assessment study of our products, and make it into a sales presentation?"
"We’ve had an industrial study done on the Life Cycle Assessment and Circularity Index of some of our packaging products, and we need help to extract the right message from it and make the findings into an engaging sales-tool for supporting in sales meetings. Can you help?"
Omni-Pac Group—a leading pan-European manufacturer at the very forefront of the circular economy—have been brilliant clients of ours for a few years now. They convert over 100,000 tonnes of recycled paper into more than 2 billion units of eco-friendly packaging every year.
In an industry constantly pressured to innovate, reduce plastics, and prove its green credentials, the true ecological value of packaging materials isn't always obvious. Committed to total transparency, Omni-Pac commissioned an independent, highly detailed study into the Life Cycle Assessment and Circularity Index of their products.
Then, they brought that study to us.

They really meant...
What did that actually translate to? A 103-page wall of numbers.
Asking us to "make this into a sales presentation" was quite the understatement. The independent study was a 103-page, data-heavy behemoth packed with dense spreadsheets, complex acronyms, and dry graphs. On the surface, it didn't immediately paint a simple, positive picture.
The compelling, planet-positive story was absolutely in there—it was just buried under a mountain of statistics. What Omni-Pac really needed was for us to dig in, unearth that core message, and translate the data into an engaging, accessible tool that their sales team could actually use to win over prospects.
So here's what we did.

What we agreed to do...
The solution/services we delivered
- Strategic Storytelling: Uncover and refine the core message so it would immediately resonate with a time-poor target audience.
- Honest Data Visualisation: Redesign the data so it told an authentic, compelling story for planet-forward prospects, without losing its scientific integrity.
- A Fully Flexible PowerPoint: Let’s face it—businesses still run on PowerPoint. We agreed to build a deck that wasn't just beautiful, but completely editable and functional for the sales team on the ground.

So we got to work!
The approach and process
Let's break it down...
Firstly - we had to understand what the study was actually studying and why this was important to the target audience. We then needed to understand what the results actually meant, and how this could be condensed and conveyed visually in an impactful and engaging way.
The answer?
A deep dive into life cycles, circularity, and translating numbers into pictures.
First, we had to wrap our heads around what the study was actually measuring. When you compare a compostable, moulded-fibre product to a plastic one, the story isn't always as simple as "green vs. bad." Factors like manufacturing scale, regional EU recycling infrastructure, and high energy/water usage in pulp drying mean that directly comparing them on a simple graph can actually play down the true benefits of moulded fibre.
In our first round of visualisations, we recalculated how the data was presented. Rather than comparing products to arbitrary industry metrics, we reframed the perspective to compare competitors directly against Omni-Pac’s moulded fibre. The data remained completely objective—we just changed the lens so the sales team could highlight their strengths.
While the initial feedback was positive, the sales team had a classic request: they wanted their prospects to be instantly "wowed" without needing a statistics degree to understand why.
Never ones to back down from a challenge, we went back to the drawing board. We wanted to completely avoid "death by PowerPoint" (and yes, we firmly advocate for banning slide animations that fly in from the side!). We distilled the complex data into bespoke, highly intuitive infographics. These "hero slides" did the heavy lifting, establishing the big-picture "wow" factor right away and giving the sales team the perfect visual aid to drive their conversations.
So, did it work?

Did it work?
In short: absolutely.
While we await long-term data on how the deck performs in everyday sales meetings, the ultimate proof of success came in the form of a repeat request.
Impressed by the transformation of their sales materials, Omni-Pac’s CEO trusted us to apply the exact same treatment to an authoritative presentation for an international convention, positioning them as the definitive voice on the future of sustainable packaging.

Why this matters...
We love it when a client brings us an open brief that challenges our thinking. By trusting us to dive deep into their data, Omni-Pac allowed us to create a truly unique tool that does more than just sell—it educates.
We believe in the positive change Omni-Pac is driving. If this presentation makes it easier for their sales team to tell their story, expand their reach, and replace single-use plastics with compostable alternatives, then we’ve played a small part in keeping waste out of our environment. To us, that is the ultimate definition of success.
