“A non-negotiable part of our marketing approach - and life - is asking ‘so what?’”
Developing our popular and successful KnapChat interview series from a few years ago into a podcast felt like a natural progression. It gives us the opportunity not only to learn from brilliant and fascinating guests, but also to share what we’re learning with people outside the agency. KnapChat, the podcast, is here to ask successful people and planet-friendly entrepreneurs how and why they do what they do, to find out the difference they’re making, and for listeners and viewers to reflect on what we talk about and ask themselves how they could pull on a few more threads. We want you to leave with more questions than answers, but they should be questions for yourself that help you take a ‘so what’ attitude into everything you do to make the planet a better place.

This isn’t just a podcast, it’s a space for real, honest conversations about the connection between sustainability and community. At a time when both topics have never felt more urgent, it felt right to explore what it means to build a better future from the ground up.
Where sustainability and community mix, we’re proud to bring you ‘People, Planet, Podcast’, hosted by our founder, Alex Wright.

Over every season, each episode features guests from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. Some are business leaders, others are community champions, but one thing they all have in common is that they are passionate about driving positive change. With Alex ‘guiding’ the conversation - which, if you’ve ever met Alex you’ll know that keeping him on track is a struggle, especially with a 30-minute time limit - Knapchat explores how sustainable practices in business can benefit local communities, how grassroots initiatives are shaping the way we live and work, and how collaboration between people, organisations, and sectors can lead to real progress. Each season also digs into how the everyday actions of individuals can have a lasting collective impact.

After recording Season One at the Hebb & Griff studio in Scunthorpe, we decided to bring Season Two home and create our own studio backdrop at KW HQ, which was no mean feat! The new series follows in the footsteps of Season One and offers up more practical insights, inspiring stories, and the shared belief that small steps can lead to big change, all in no more than 30 minutes per episode.

Knapchat, let's be 'aving ya!

Whether you're tuning in to learn, be inspired, or to get involved, we're glad you're here...
The Knapton Wright podcast is for anyone who believes in the power of community and the importance of sustainability, and how the two are deeply intertwined.

Take some time out to listen to our first two seasons. We’d love to know what you think? And, if they strike a serious chord, you’re doing interesting work in this space or have a story to tell, we’d love to hear from you about getting involved with Season Three.

Let’s spark some change, one conversation at a time.

Why People, Planet, Podcast?

The 'so what' behind KnapChat

As a marketing agency that works to put people and the planet first, the podcast may seem like a no-brainer to many. And in some ways it was. But the ‘why’ that lies behind it runs much deeper, and not just for KW, but for all the people involved.

People

Change drivers unite
At the heart of every conversation are people, and at the heart of these conversations are people who are actively driving change. From community organisers and small business owners to individuals making everyday sustainable choices, this podcast celebrates the voices and actions shaping stronger, more connected communities. It’s about learning from each other and shining a light on those making a real difference.

Planet

No buzzwords around here
Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword, at least not in our four walls! It’s a responsibility team KW genuinely holds itself to account over. Season One of KnapChat explores how environmental practices can go beyond the boardroom and into our neighbourhoods, schools, and workplaces. By focusing on the link between eco-conscious actions and community wellbeing, each of these conversations is attempting to show how caring for the planet also means caring for each other.

Podcast

Getting chatty
This is our platform for storytelling, inspiration, and collaboration. Hosted by Alex Wright - Head Honcho aka the jolly Green Giant - the KnapChat podcast is a space for open, engaging conversations that connect ideas to action. We’re keeping episodes concise, insightful, and packed with real-world perspectives to help spark change, one listener at a time.
