Celebrating our fab clients as 2025 kicks off - new year, same ambition
Definitely not ones to buy into the new year, new you nonsense, a new year at KW usually means a chance to take stock and start the year as we mean to go on.
Which has certainly been the case for 2025… Despite the grey, and the cold that can only be January in the UK, the team headed back to our creative corner in Caistor full of optimism. The office is having a bit of a spruce up - more on that in the coming weeks - ripples of positivity are coming back in from proposals that have gone out to some incredible businesses, and - drum roll please - we’ve seen some clients honoured for their entrepreneurial spirit with a spot on the #iAlso100 2025 list from f:Entrenrenuer.
A campaign that highlights inspiring female business leaders across the UK, since 2018 f:Entrepreneur showcases role models to help and inspire all small businesses. So you can image how excited we were to see Tracy Lynn - who we know as one of the Directors of Projekt Renewable - and Natalie Penniston - of Otby House Farm - featured; having worked with this duo of powerhouses on their applications at the tail end of November 2023.
With an #iAlso alumni in our midst here at KW - in the shape of our Queen of Copy, Jo - we’re well versed in the benefits this flourishing community of businesswomen has to offer, and why we always consider this opportunity for our clients.
From the incredible team at Small Business Britain, the f:Entrepreneur campaign (and all female entrepreneurs for that matter) are pivotal to achieving Michelle Oven and team’s mission - to increase the number of female entrepreneurs from its current 20% to 30% by 2030.
Dedicated to shining a light on 100 women from all over the UK who are living the #iAlso life – a new approach to the “portfolio” career, taking on many roles, achieving in many different spheres of life and demonstrating that women are paving a new path for what entrepreneurship means - since its launch, the f:Entrepreneur campaign has created a legacy for female entrepreneurs breaking the mould. This ever-evolving f:Entrepreneur community lies at the heart of the campaign and is filled with collaboration, support, friendship and inspiration.
Huge congratulations again to Tracy and Natalie - as well as to Alison, another familiar face that also features on this year’s list - for their success in this national campaign; we look forward to seeing how you all get on at the House of Lords event!
Have you considered your next award opportunity?
Awards season is pretty much a thing of the past, or at least moved to be incredibly industry specific. Opportunities exist all year round, regionally and nationally.
Here’s a small selection of what’s coming up soon. Need support with your applications or identifying opportunities? Get in touch today!
- The NLBAs aka the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards are one of the most celebrated opportunities in our region. Always well attended, with plenty of nominations, the awards are now in their 23rd year. With an award for every size and age of business entries from all businesses situated within Northern Lincolnshire, including North and East Lincolnshire are encouraged. Applications are now open and close on March 12th.
- Best Businesswomen Awards, a national opportunity which will open for applications this year on February 4th, since 2015 these awards have been recognising great female entrepreneurs who are making a real impact on their industry. Any business woman who owns or is a partner in a business, is eligible to enter, from sole trader to large companies. An investment in time, with supporting imagery and testimonials required, this is one of the most in-depth application processes we’ve gone through - with silver and gold successes we’re pleased to add!
- Humber Renewables Awards 2025, another regional celebration this time of success in the renewables sector. Which, given our location within the Energy Estuary, is rife. In partnership with the Offshore Wind Connections conference these awards celebrate the businesses and individuals driving innovation and change in the renewable energy sector, showcasing our region. For the past 13 years, the brightest minds and boldest businesses have been honoured and this year will be no exception. Whether you’re part of a large organisation or a small enterprise, there’s a category to highlight your achievements. The team naturally trilled to see our client Projekt Renewable named as the winner of the Engaging the community I Community Project category last year.
Also coming up on our radar very quickly now, is The Tourism Excellence Awards 2024-25. Having worked on these in collaboration with Destination Lincolnshire as their delivery partner, this awards project is one very close to the team’s heart; Jo in particular has worked on these for three years now, while one of our Directors, Louise, has taken home two of the awards in previous years for her self-catering business, The Old Granary.
With winners from the core categories feeding into the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence every year, these awards represent an incredible opportunity for businesses within the region working across the visitor economy. With this year’s ceremony taking place on February 28th, and the national awards in early June, the cycle will reset this and The Tourism Excellence Awards will once again be open for applications. We’ll keep you posted in the progress of this year’s, but in the meantime you can find out more and buy tickets for the event itself here. We’ll see you there!
