A roadmap to resilience: 2026 Lincolnshire Farming Conference
A couple of weeks ago, we spent the day at the 2026 Lincolnshire Farming Conference at the Lincolnshire Showground’s Epic Centre, joining a room full of people who understand what it means to keep going when conditions are tough, unpredictable, and constantly shifting.
This year’s theme, A roadmap to resilience, could not have felt more timely.
Attending alongside our client Sea2Soil, who was exhibiting on the day, Jo and Zoe were there flying the KW flag, catching up with familiar faces, making some new contacts, catching up with current and former clients and putting in the groundwork to line up some new video content for Sea2Soil.
“Being there with Sea2Soil, it was brilliant to see the conversations happening around their stand and to feel how closely the brand’s thinking aligned with both the event and the people it brought together: practical, progressive, and rooted in the real-world day-to-day of farming. It certainly felt like there has been a shift in the industry’s interest and acceptance of more natural and organic approaches to soil health and land management,” said Jo.
With over 400 tickets sold, the turnout was strong, and the atmosphere certainly had some energy to it!
For us, days like this matter because they are about more than “networking”. They are about listening. They are about learning where the industry is right now, what is changing, and what people need in order to adapt and thrive.
Louise, a founding director of KW (and a farmer by day), put it best: “The conference never fails to deliver a great blend of insight and connection, and it’s a reminder that resilience is not just a business buzzword. It’s personal. It’s the mindset of growers, business owners, and families navigating uncertain and challenging times.”
The speaker line-up reflected that breadth, from voices in policy to those firmly on the ground. The keynote from Minette Batters was particularly fascinating, and it was great to hear perspectives across the industry, including farmers themselves, and people working to shape the sector’s future.
We couldn’t resist paying our friends at LRSN a visit for a check-up in the LRSN Health Hut. Nurse Heather was in the house and made Jo and Zo so comfortable during their health checks! From checking blood pressure and blood sugar to cholesterol, it was a welcome reminder that resilience is about wellbeing too, not just outputs and margins.
At Knapton Wright, we talk a lot about putting people and the planet first. But we also believe in showing up in the rooms where that commitment matters. Lincolnshire’s agricultural community has shaped our story from the beginning, and it continues to shape the work we do today - helping purpose-led organisations communicate clearly, build trust, and create momentum.
Events like the Lincolnshire Farming Conference are an anchor point. They help us stay close to the conversations that count, and to the people doing the hard work of building a more resilient future.
