Knapton Wright take on Lincolnshire Show 2026

County shows are brilliant for a reason. Producers, suppliers, farmers, rural businesses, community organisations, and the very people they support all coming together to celebrate what makes them all great. What’s not to love?

For any yellowbellies, June can’t pass by without a trip to the Lincolnshire Show, so of course, team KW showed up for this year’s event. And when we say show up, we mean scrambling to be chosen as one of the gang that gets to attend. But for us, it isn’t just a jolly or being seen for the sake of it. It’s genuinely about support.

We went to:

  • Get a feel for the show (and the industry pulse)
  • Have a proper bimble and see what’s new (and what’s changing)
  • Check in with clients and partners, we don’t always get to see face-to-face
  • And, watch Lincolnshire Pork’s live cooking demonstration in the Lincolnshire Kitchen

It was a reminder of something we believe strongly: the best marketing work starts with understanding the world our clients operate in - not from a desk, but in the thick of it.

A sustainable agency needs to be present in sustainable industries

A big part of our work sits in and around farming, food and the rural environment - and more and more, that work overlaps with sustainability. Not in a buzzword way, but in practical, day-to-day decisions:

  • How land is managed
  • How products are made and moved
  • How businesses communicate with customers who want to know where things come from

We’re proud to support clients in this space because it’s full of businesses doing things the right way - which more often than not, isn’t the easiest path to tread.

It’s always so valuable for us to catch up with clients and familiar faces, whether at events like the Lincolnshire Show or elsewhere. Those quick “how’s it going?” conversations that turn into insight and more plans in the making.

The highlight for us? Lincolnshire Pork’s cooking demonstration

We really wanted to be at the show in person this year to see Lincolnshire Pork in action in the Lincolnshire Kitchen.

Live demos do something that you can’t fake your way through - they make people stop, watch, ask questions, and taste the product. It’s the perfect blend of:

  • Brand storytelling
  • Product proof
  • Community connection
  • And pure, simple enjoyment

Watching the demo (and seeing the crowd it attracted) reinforced how important real-world experiences are in building a brand - especially across food and farming.

This wasn’t a one-off; we’ve been showing up across the country and on the continent!

As an event, the Lincolnshire Show sits alongside other key dates in the farming calendar. The team spent time at Cereals and the IFW in Turin a few weeks ago, and next, we’re headed to Groundswell on July 2.

These events help us build a clearer picture of the challenges and opportunities that exist across the main sectors we spend our time working in. As an agency, attending these events isn’t a ‘nice-to-have’. It’s part of doing the job properly.

Ultimately, it helps us do what we’re here to do for our clients - build visibility, engagement and genuine connections.

If you’re heading to Groundswell next week, drop us a line - we’d love to catch up!
