That's a wrap on KnapChat season 1!
The sun has set on KnapChat Season One. Our final guest has ridden off, a shrinking silhouette heading back to reality after the laugh-out-loud learning curve that was Season One.
When the first season of the KnapChat podcast launched, it was grounded in a simple yet powerful idea: bring together brilliant, planet-first changemakers and create space for real conversations that matter. Hosted by our fearless leader, Alex Wright, Season One saw some truly brilliant folk sit down on the couch, all of whom are actively shaping sustainability in and among their respective community and industries.
Across six insightful episodes, Season One introduced voices including:
- Louise Wright, co-founder of Knapton Wright, discussing purpose, intention and sustainable enterprise (“everything we do has this thread of sustainability running through it”)
- Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs and Wild Wrendale - a rewilding project happening on the doorstep of KW HQ - reintroducing beavers to Lincolnshire - all through honest conversation and local action
- Dan Wheeler, leader in tourism for Hull and East Yorkshire, is uniting culture and community
- Laura Stratford, championing local growing through the Greater Lincolnshire Food Partnership
- Derrick Denton, shaping the future of renewable energy with UK Alternative Energy
- Tyrone Curran, building brighter futures for youth from South Africa to Scunthorpe
Recorded at Hebb & Griff studio in Scunthorpe, each episode was a punchy (we hope) 30-minute podcast, packed with practical insights, inspiring stories, and what is becoming the KW signature “so what?” attitude - something we instigated to leave you pondering what you could do next.
Given this was our first experience of stepping up to the plate in the podcast arena for ourselves rather than a client, Season One went pretty well. Guests - awesome. Filming - H+G totally smashed it. Response - way better than we could have imagined.
The level of honesty, insight, and passion shared by our Season One trailblazers truly made the journey unforgettable. So, what’s next?
Season Two? Filming is Wrapped!
We’re beyond excited about Season Two. More guests, more conversations about the reality of ‘sustainability’ across industries. Now in post-production, we’re already buzzing about releasing it later in September.
Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared, and joined us along the way. Season One was just the beginning. Stay tuned.
